Movie Details:
Sci-fi adventure directed by Robert Schwentke and based on the second novel in Veronica Roth’s trilogy. Following on from the events of ‘Divergent’ (2014), Tris (Shailene Woodley) and Four (Theo James) are on the run as the separate factions continue to be torn apart by war and inner conflict. The divergents frantically search for reasons behind the violent uprising as they continue to be hunted by its initiator Jeanine (Kate Winslet). The group visits the other factions’ compounds in their search for allies as defectors choose sides for the looming war. But as Tris struggles with the horrors and grief of previous events she finds out some shocking truths about the origin and future of their fractured world.
