Description
In a move which would have surprised many at the time, Nick’s sixth solo album The Apple Bed was originally released in August 1997 on Creation Records – though not on LP. As with Tangled, Demon Records will be making it available on (apple) green vinyl for the very first time. Among other things, Creation – and particularly their biggest act, Oasis – was closely associated with Britpop, a movement that sought to emulate concise, well-crafted songs of the Beat era thirty years earlier. A path that Nick had been following successfully for many years, as is evident on the singles included here, ‘Today’, ‘The Man You Used To Be’ and ‘Stars In Her Eyes’.
This is the very first vinyl pressing of ‘The Apple Bed’.
